Experience

Experience matters. You wouldn't hire a gardener to replace the engine in your car. That is, unless the gardener is an auto enthusiast. So too with legal services.

I have represented clients in both federal and state courts, having spent hundreds of hours before judges in the courtroom, and negotiating with opposing counsel—all of which add value to my services.

My experience has also provided me with knowledge of many judges. Understanding a judge's tendencies and prior history of ruling on similar issues allows me to counsel clients on what courses of action may be fruitful, and which may simply be an imprudent investment of my services. Besides knowing the law, a client's most valuable asset is knowing the decisionmaker and adversary.

In addition to my legal experience, my training in science and business has provided me with the logical, mechanical, and design skill sets typically found among engineers. Those skills allow me to evaluate the technical merits of a client's case, as well as attack an adversary's position. I approach litigation through careful, precise tactical planning, which have resulted in millions of dollars in savings to clients by securing favorable settlements, strong bargaining positions, and competitive advantage.
